If I could do a ACEO of the Mona Lisa, would it go against the copyright laws?
ACEO (art card editions & originals), trading card size art cards for anyone not familiar with them. I keep seeing ACEO’s from other peoples art, etc. If I did something like the Mona Lisa in miniature, would it be wrong to sell it? Or would it be considered an Art Trading Card instead (not sold)? Thank you for your help.
Da Vinci is dead. The “copyright” on his Mona Lisa would have long since expired.
