How US debt will affect my life in Europe?

Would my US debt will affect my life in Europe? The European banks would know, that I have unpaid credit cards in the US?
I have lost my job and can not pay them back, I need to move back to Europe and start my life over.
If I have $10.000 debt on 3 different credits cards ( app. $3000 each) that would consider substantial?

If the debts are substantial its likely they will follow you. Most banks are multinational, all they need to do is contact a European debt collection company. I don’t know enough about you, your plans or US bankruptcy but if the debts are substantial you would probably best to consider bankruptcy before you leave. Then make a fresh start.
