How can I submit graphic art to mobile phone companies?

I’m a graphic artist and I was interested in finding a way to make some extra cash. I personally think the downloadable graphics for wall papers are a little expensive. Surely someone is making a profit from them.

I’ve created content for mobile networks in the past.

They are mostly looking for relevant, branded content that have a following. Companies that are selling generic graphics don’t really care about quality graphics, they’re looking for something they can cheaply buy the rights to and sell for a profit.

The wallpapers that you find expensive don’t have much to do with the actual content in most cases; the networks have to sell them at a minimum (eg., 1.99) to keep profit margins robust.

Besides, with camera phones and open networks (such as ATT), people are able to customize their own wallpapers without paying. It’s a dying business, the money is going to be more in video, music and personalized user content.
